We had a very Merry, very low key Christmas this year at Elizabeth Parker Photographie. I decided after going full-time this month, the robbery and whatnot… it might be a good year to abstain for travelling and taking the time off. Pete the cat and I baked, ate, decorated, and watched a lot of movies. (Pete skipped the marathon at the cinema, but joined in for the DVDs.) I’m particularly proud of the photo booth themed tree inspiration I had! Rawr.

My friends know me so well… thanks for all the goodies! If a stranger came over, they would think that pickles is the primary food group in my house… and it is.

Kept the traditions alive with cinnamon rolls for breakfast and Italian for dinner. Yum.

I spent all night Christmas Eve baking.

Here are a few family recipes:

Love playing with Blue Bell. She’s fantastic.

I’ll leave you with the unedited B-roll of my pal, Jacob’s, annual bizarre holiday card shoot…. I’ve been sitting on these for FAR too long. Ha!

I Heart Faces: Pet Challenge

I Heart Faces has issued a photo challenge this week. I thought it my duty to answer the call.

Behold my companion for the last 10 years, Pete. The day after we moved from Paris to D.C. this was in his food bowl when I came down for breakfast.

Suffice to say, I took it as a good sign that everything was going to be just fine and the move was the right decision. And it was!

Happy Tuesday from Pete & I in D.C.!
