THIS SOUTHERN GIRL IS SOOOOO EXCITED.

If you grew up in the South, your mother inevitably had a subscription to Southern Living magazine and a collection of their annual cookbooks. For me, they were a symbol of home and all that was right with the world.

It is with great pride that I can say that my photos were on Southern Living’s The Daily South. It makes me even happier that they were in an article celebrating the accomplishments of my friends at RippleChef Logan Cox and Pastry Chef Alison Reed who cooked at the James Beard House in New York this week.

Bravo, everyone!

Contests! “I Heart Faces” & “3rd Ward Open Call”

Voila! My entry for the I Heart Faces Weekly Photo Challenge: Shadows. Fingers crossed, everyone!

Don’t forget to vote today over at 3rd Ward Open Call for my portfolio. $1000 is up for grabs and man could the Mark II fund use it! Just click the far right star once everyday (and we figured out it’s per network…so vote from home, work, your cell phone, and your neighbor’s internet, too!)

PLEASE VOTE! 3rd Ward Open Call Contest

I’ve entered an artist contest and need your help. The Grand Prize is juried, but there is an additional People’s Choice Award.

Please vote! You can vote once every 24 hours from your various devices (home computer, work computer, Iphone, Blackberry, Droid, Ipad, etc.) The contest runs until April 22nd.

I would really appreciate the support and the People’s Choice Prize; it would be life changing!
